They kicked me out of school because I was skipping too many classes due to social anxiety and panic attacks. I want to go back next year, but I’ll be 18 then, maybe even graduate at 19 or 20. I was thinking about starting fresh at a new school, meeting new people, but now I’m not sure. What do you guys think?
Go for it! Whether you go in person, hybrid, or fully online, getting a high school diploma is definitely worth it.
If you’re considering trade school or community college, maybe getting a GED would be a good option for you. Both the GED and diploma are great choices for your future.

100% agree. A diploma is super important, and it’s better to get it now than to wait and regret it later. Trust me, it only gets harder the longer you wait.
If you can still get free public education, take advantage of it while you can. You’ll regret it if you don’t.
At least aim to get your high school diploma. It’ll make things much easier in the future.
From the way you write, it seems like you should definitely go back.

Comments like this can actually discourage someone from returning to school.
Maybe virtual school would be the best option for you. It’s available now, and it might help with your anxiety.
You’re not even 18 yet, so you still have time. Go for it.
Don’t go back. You’ll just disrupt the other students. Instead, keep reading books and pay attention to how things are written. Watch romantic comedies, they’ll help improve your mood. Work for a year, meet new people, and if you still want to pursue further education later, there are always alternate entry routes like taking tests to prove you’ve got basic skills.

Without a diploma or a GED, life is going to be really tough for them. They should at least get a GED.

Alright, maybe they need to meet the requirements for mature students later.
