An iPad is just a toy, and the iPad Pro is a bigger, heavier, more expensive toy.
You really need a laptop.
The $999 MacBook is a great choice for most people.

I’m not really interested in getting a MacBook, to be honest. They are pricier than any Windows laptop with similar specs, and I also just don’t like macOS overall. I initially thought about an iPad because I could use it for art (like Procreate), but I guess a Windows laptop can do that too.

I don’t think the $999 MacBook is overpriced compared to similar Windows devices. There are many nice Windows laptops in the same price range.

Yeah, I totally agree. I just looked at the MacBook and it looks nice, but since I’m used to Windows, I think a Windows laptop is a better fit for me. I understand how the MacBook might be better for someone else with different needs.
One thing I didn’t mention is that I have a USB drawing tablet I can use with any computer, and I can always get something like Photoshop on a Windows laptop for drawing.
