Am thinking of enrolling in Capella University for an online degree program and would appreciate any reviews or feedback from current or past students. How is the quality of education, faculty support, and overall learning experience? Are the online courses engaging and well-structured? I thought about pursuing my PsyD at this institution, but they don’t have accreditation from the APA. I’m currently completing my undergraduate degree in psychology, planning to pursue a master’s in social work, and then obtain my PsyD at a traditional brick-and-mortar institution.
I completed my doctoral studies at Capella University through their online program, and I can vouch for its credibility. Although it was pricier compared to traditional universities, this might have been due to the novelty of online learning at the time when I pursued my degree in 2012. The academic standards were stringent, and the support system was excellent. I was grateful for the flexibility that allowed me to balance a full day of work, quality time with my young family in the evenings, and then dedicate my nights to my coursework and dissertation.
