Pin Trading but for the Classroom?

Hi there! I was wondering if anyone had thought of a way to reward students in the classroom that would work similarly to pin trading. I don’t want to use actual pins because my pupils are generally 8 years old, but I think it would be possible to have something comparable where they may swap with other students or have a “pin” board.

Maybe you could use stickers or badges instead of pins? I did something similar with my 8-year-olds, and they got super excited about trading and collecting them. You could even have a special board where they can display their collections.

I have an abundance of those Crocs shoe charms. Since very few of my pupils actually wear them, I also purchased plastic bracelets that had holes similar to those on Crocs to hold the charms. Charms will be awarded to the children initially, followed by random charms that they can exchange and gather.

Create a trading card or sticker system for students. Design cards with different themes and reward students for achievements. Allow students to trade cards and create a display board for their collection. Consider limited edition cards for added excitement.
