hey folks
I’m wondering if anyone knows about alternative EdTech or Learning Science programs that aren’t like the usual master’s degrees? ive in mind of something more creative and hands-on, like Hyper Island in Sweden, which uses a design-focused and practical approach to learning, even though it’s not specifically for EdTech. I’m looking for something similar but focused on teaching and learning.
I’m interested in programs that are innovative and different ones that mix new educational technology with design thinking, hands-on learning, or even startup-like environments.
Have you heard of any EdTech programs that are outside the box? Whether it’s short-term, immersive, or just a different kind of degree, I’d love to know!
Examples of Innovative Programs,
- Minerva Schools (Global): Minerva offers a unique, global, project-based learning environment where students study in different cities around the world. While not specifically for EdTech, their active learning approach might inspire new ideas in EdTech.
- Learnlife (Barcelona, Spain): This program focuses on future learning environments. It’s not a formal degree but a progressive education model that emphasizes learner-driven, personalized education with a focus on technology and innovation.
- EdTech Incubator Programs (Various Locations): Some startup incubators focus on EdTech, offering support and education for new entrepreneurs in the education sector. For example, Co.Lab in the US helps EdTech startups with mentors, investors, and a network of educational institutions.
- Master of Arts in Learning Design and Technology at USC: While more traditional, this program emphasizes hands-on learning, design, and the development of learning experiences with technology.
I’d love to hear if anyone has experience with similar programs or knows of others that fit this description. Looking forward to your suggestions
