I’m a junior business student who just transferred. I’m considering getting a one- or two-year subscription to Cengage Unlimited in order to save money on textbooks and homework access in the long run. Would a fellow business student who hasn’t taken any upper division business courses suggest it to a junior?
As a fellow business student, I’d recommend Cengage Unlimited. It is a membership service that allows you to access all of Cengage’s online learning platforms as well as their full eBook library for a one-time fee. In addition, you will receive at least four free textbook rentals (only pay for shipping and handling). Many students have found it beneficial, especially if they require resources for multiple classes or if individual texts are more expensive than the subscription itself. It’s a low-cost option to gain access to course materials while also saving money over time!
Cengage Unlimited could save you money on textbooks, but here’s the thing: upper-level business classes might use specific materials not included. Hold off on the subscription for now. Check your syllabi first – professors might require certain textbooks or online tools. Once you have a better idea of what materials you’ll actually need, you can decide if Cengage Unlimited makes sense for you.
