Is Capella University worthwhile?

I am planning to pursue my RN-BSN because I’m already an ICU nurse and want to work in different settings. Capella appeals to me because it is fast-paced, inexpensive, and accessible online.

However, I am concerned that a Capella degree will not be regarded seriously, or that it will jeopardize my chances of obtaining a master’s degree to become a nurse practitioner somewhere. Has anyone here graduated from Capella, and was it worthwhile? If not, could you name any other online universities that are expedited and may provide better opportunities?

Capella University offers an accredited online RN-BSN program, which may align well with your goals as an ICU nurse seeking to expand your career.

What is interesting is that Capella’s FlexPath program allows you to pay by the term rather than the course. Each term is 12 weeks long, and you can take as many classes as you can during that time. The program is designed for self-motivated learners who prefer writing papers over discussion boards. There are no discussion boards; instead, you write papers based on your research.

Another advantage is that Capella University is accredited, which means financial aid covers it, and employers recognize the degree. Accreditation ensures that the program meets certain standards of quality and rigor.

Someone I know who works as a teacher for Cappella is essentially taken advantage of. Their compensation is withdrawn if they don’t give enough As. They are accredited, so if you’re cool with that, it sounds opportunistic.
