How Can Educators and Students Best Utilize Zoom for Online Learning?

Hi everyone,

With the shift to online learning during the pandemic, many of us are now reliant on tools like Zoom. I have heard that Zoom has a lot of features that are not always well-known. How can educators and students make the most of Zoom’s capabilities to enhance their online learning experience?

During the pandemic, I dove into using Zoom extensively for both teaching and learning. I discovered that Zoom’s lesser-known features, like breakout rooms, virtual whiteboards, and recording capabilities, significantly enhanced the online experience. Breakout rooms are great for group activities, allowing for more interactive and collaborative sessions. The virtual whiteboard is perfect for brainstorming and explaining complex concepts visually. Recording classes can help with review and ensure students don’t miss important details. Integrating these features effectively into lessons can make online learning more engaging and productive.

use breakout rooms for group work, utilize polls and quizzes for engagement, and record sessions for review. Explore annotation tools and shared whiteboards for interactive lessons.
