Essentially, textbook firms started offering online homework assignments as soon as they realised that students could simply purchase used textbooks or download them for free via the internet, making it impossible for students to get around paying for a subscription. It’s odd because, typically, the books are part of the membership, and a printed copy costs about $20.

All of your course materials and instructors will soon be automated, provided to you by the same corporations that used to overcharge for subpar textbooks. Canvas is already taking over, and instructors’ days in the classroom are numbered if they join with McGraw Hill or another massive textbook company.

When I was looking for ways to save money on my Cengage Unlimited subscription, I explored various options like student discounts, promotional offers, and even second-hand access codes. I also checked with my college bookstore for any special deals and asked my professors if they knew of any institutional discounts. By staying vigilant and patient, I managed to find a promotional discount that made the subscription more affordable, proving that with a bit of research and persistence, it’s possible to get Cengage Unlimited for less money.
