Essentially, textbook firms started offering online homework assignments as soon as they realised that students could simply purchase used textbooks or download them for free via the internet, making it impossible for students to get around paying for a subscription. It’s odd because, typically, the books are part of the membership, and a printed copy costs about $20.

All of your course materials and instructors will soon be automated, provided to you by the same corporations that used to overcharge for subpar textbooks. Canvas is already taking over, and instructors’ days in the classroom are numbered if they join with McGraw Hill or another massive textbook company.
