Can I get out of alternative school?

@keny
I don’t think it’s a pattern. I’ve been trying to do better, but bad stuff keeps happening. And I’m not gonna let someone hit me in the head. I do work on myself—I work out 5 times a week, bench more than you probably do, and play basketball for hours.

@Hemsworth
Can you learn to use punctuation at the alt school? It would help people understand you better. And no one cares how much you bench at 14; you need to work on self-control and staying calm.

Who cares if my writing is bad? I’ve got more mental strength than you—cold showers, 5 a.m. runs… the whole thing.

@Hemsworth
That doesn’t really make sense. Try to learn how to communicate better. If you focus on learning, instead of acting tough, you’ll be alright.

You’re wrong, and instead of arguing the point, you’re just criticizing my grammar.

@Hemsworth
You need to calm down and think about what you really want to say. If all you do is react, you’re not helping yourself.

@Hemsworth
Twice? Like two days each time, or what?

Two times: one for 15 days, the other for 30.

That’s not really enough time to know if it’s right for you. I know you don’t want to hear it, but I was like you once—angry, skipping classes. Alt school gave me a chance to graduate and learn how to handle my emotions. Plus, you get more free time, easier classes, and a chance to step out if things get tough.

Honestly, it sounds like you need to go to the alternative school. In every reply here, you’re blaming others and not taking any responsibility. And yes, this is your real life—everything you do now will follow you.

@Noah8
How am I wrong? By every standard, including the law, I was defending myself.

@Noah8
When I said ‘this isn’t real life,’ I meant that my past record shouldn’t be held against me because in the real world, your past doesn’t automatically make you guilty.

@Noah8
You’re missing the point. Just because I have a record doesn’t mean I’m automatically guilty of something new.

I’m not saying you are guilty. But your record will be considered, whether you like it or not.

Three fights in two months as a freshman? That’s a lot. You can’t keep laying hands on people at school, no matter the situation. School’s not the place for fights, and each time, it ended with you putting your hands on someone. You need to go to alternative school, earn your way back, and avoid physical altercations there. Self-regulation is a skill worth mastering. Next time, try walking away or using words instead of fists. You’re loyal to your friends, but you also need to take care of yourself. Keep your hands to yourself, finish the program, and you’ll be back before you know it. Otherwise, things could get worse.

@ThomasMoore
I’m not gonna let someone attack me, no way. I didn’t do anything wrong, and I’m gonna sue the school.

And that’s why you’re in alternative school. You need to get your life together.

@AmeliaScarlet
Explain how I’m in the wrong. If you were on the street and got sucker-punched, you’d defend yourself too.

But you weren’t on the street, you were in school. And how you respond needs to fit the situation. If you keep reacting like this, you’re gonna end up in trouble. Instead, remove yourself from the situation if you can.

@TeacherTina
But if OP is being assaulted in school, how can they ‘remove themselves’ without defending themselves?
