I am young therefore I would be really interested to know as I need to know what is best for my employment prospects.
Absolutely no. This is because my BA has opened professional doors for me in fields that have nothing to do with it. After all, they all require a minimum of a BA or BS. I have gone through trade programs as well, but they were primarily for self-enrichment or stepping stones into other fields.
No I would settle on the major sooner and stop changing it every semester.
I would just work hard tol get my History degree as I loved it, but perhaps I might have gone down the route of law over teaching afterward.
If I go back to my 18 now, I would just listen to my mother and become a lawyer. Sadly that is just fantasy it cannot happen.
From my short experience, I would just say that only go to college if you need to for your chosen career. The times have changed; many fantastic jobs now need a technical degree or specialized training rather than a college degree.
I my early ages, I just went to college because I thought I was supposed to and though it was fun I feel like it set me back from getting my life together.
In case it is a degree apprenticeship then I would say go into it without a doubt but if it is just a standard apprenticeship then I would recommend you go for a degree instead
Nowadays, everyone has at least a bachelor’s degree, and even those with master’s degrees find it difficult to get employment.
I am a doctor. I am not saying that I hate my work.
But I would learn a trade, most likely be an electrician or machinist.
I would choose the military again and again.
Military has been my thing because I got to live in new places; I also got to see the world. In addition, the military paid for my college, and when I was struggling for work, the skills I learned from the military landed me a career.
Till now, I have done well for myself without a college degree.
I doubt I would go back. However, I would apply for the apprenticeship if I did. After gaining experience, I would create my shop and most likely end up back where I am now.
